A useful review begins with an accurate picture of what the business makes and how it operates. Gather the current material before deciding which parts of the plan need to change.

Build the product picture

  • Describe each product or product family, its ingredients, packaging, intended use, and storage.
  • Document the process from receiving through distribution. Check the flow against actual work.
  • Identify which documents are current and who owns each one. Keep earlier versions clearly separated.

Connect documents to practice

Collect representative monitoring records, verification activities, training records, and any recent findings. Explain where the written procedure and daily practice differ. A review is more useful when the team can see both.

Define the question

State whether the work concerns a new plan, a reassessment, a customer requirement, an audit finding, or a process change. Include the deadline and the decisions that depend on the result.

Useful questions for your team

  • Which products and activities are in scope?
  • What has changed since the last review?
  • What scientific or technical support exists for the process controls?
  • Who will approve, implement, and maintain the revised documents?

This material is a preparation aid. Product-specific controls, limits, and conclusions require review of the actual application.
